Sodexho Nutrition Services is offering $1,000 rebate
to the first 50 facilities that purchase one of the approved metabolic
devices at Sodexho pricing. Nutrition Services recognizes the need to
differentiate our nutrition program by supporting the use of high tech,
state of the art technology to provide additional revenues and growth
for the out-patient market as well as provide cost effective management
of in-patients.
Both metabolic device models are small, portable, and
FDA approved for your nutrition programs with an average reimbursement
rate of $63 per test in the out-patient setting. It is a simple breath test that
measures metabolic rates and the amount of calories that individuals require for
their individual weight goals. It is typically used in the out-patient market for
weight loss, bariatric, and wellness programs as well as individual consultations.
It is also used for in-patients to accurately assess caloric needs and
substantiate nutrition recommendations. The devices assess individual resting caloric
needs by analyzing oxygen consumption from a breath test. The procedure requires 10 minutes.
Korr’s
REEVUE
is a small indirect calorimeter, (12”x7”x4”) with a separate printer.
Their program includes a short printed report with REE, predicted
REE, estimated TEE, respiratory rate and other data.
