CardioCoach™ FAQ

What type of exercise equipment is used?
Any type of cardio equipment that allows you to perform a graded exercise test taking your client to a maximum heart rate. Most often a treadmill or stationary bike is used.
Do you have to manually calibrate the equipment?
CardioCoach™, and all other KORR™ measurement devices, auto calibrate. It is important to note that Korr devices calibrate to temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure, making them both simple to operate and highly accurate.
Is a computer required?
The CardioCoach printout provides all the information needed to instruct clients regarding the heart rate necessary to exercise at various target workout zones for fat burning, aerobic training, and cardio training. The printout prints directly from the CardioCoach™ to a printer that comes with your unit at the time of purchase.

If a trainer desires to interject their own expertise into the design of a workout, KORR™ has software available for the CardioCoach™. A personal computer is required to view the data and create custom workout plans.
Is certification required to operate the machine?
No certification is required. With its simple one button operation, anyone can learn to operate the CardioCoach™ in just minutes.
Does it measure CO2?
The CardioCoach™ measures oxygen consumption only, providing measurements of Peak VO2, aerobic threshold, anaerobic threshold, and VO2 Max. For those requiring substrate utilization, a CO2 measurement is available with the CardioCoach™ CO2 unit.
Is the equipment durable?
The unit comes in a steel casing, so it will not break or incur damage with normal use.
